The DIY Way To Carry Around Your Photo Light Stands

by admin on April 13, 2011

Want to know how I can carry all this gear with just my pinky finger???

It’s no secret…except for the fact that I found the PERFECT carry bag in my crawl-space!

I placed all this gear (with lots of room to spare) in a “Sunday” golf bag.  What the heck is a “Sunday” bag????

It’s a pretentious small bag that can only carry a few clubs.  The thought is that if you’re just looking to go to the driving range to hit a few balls on a Sunday, you bring just a driver, a few irons, and a putter to the course.  These bags are also referred to as “range bags” and are uber cheap!

I found mine for free, but after looking around…saw some cheap ones on amazon for under $25.

This bag is just small enough to carry TWO light weight light stands, 1 Westcott Apollo softbox, 1 60inch convertible umbrella, and even a few umbrella brackets for good measure. See if your local sports store has one of these cheaper in the off season, or spring for the 25 bucks now!
Want an even cheaper option that I’ve never tried…but Larry Becker from Cheap Shots recommends it….get ready for it! A baseball bat bag! Yes. Check out the link below! Uber cheap, and looks like it could carry a LOT of light stands.
